Internet Point & Insurance Reduction Program, First Time User
If you've never attended New York DMV-approved internet point and insurance reduction defensive driving program before, don't worry, we have 28 years of experience making online learning as simple and trouble-free as possible.
Drivers of all ages take our New York DMV-approved internet point and insurance reduction defensive driving program for two reasons:
Voluntarily - to receive a minimum 10% reduction in the base rate of their automobile and motorcycle liability and collision insurance premiums each year for three years, to be eligible to reduce as many as four (4) points on their driving record, or to simply refresh their knowledge of traffic safety.
Involuntarily - because they have been ordered by the Court or Judge to do so.
After you submit satisfactory proof of completion of our New York DMV-approved internet point and insurance reduction defensive driving program, you will receive a minimum 10% reduction in the base rate of your automobile liability and collision insurance premiums each year for three years. You may also be eligible to reduce as many as four (4) points on your driving record.
The Point System
All moving violations have points attached to them. Most are three (3) to five (5) point violations (speeding, illegal turn, stop sign, etc). An excessive number of points on your official New York DMV Driver Record will result in your driver's license being suspended or revoked.

You will lose your driver's license if your DMV driving record shows:
11 or more points in an 18-month period
3 speeding violations in an 18-month period
convictions involving alcohol or drugs
To be eligible to attend our New York DMV-approved internet point and insurance reduction defensive driving program:
You must not have attended a driver safety course within the last 18 months of your current traffic citation (unless ordered or allowed to do so by the DMV or Court). The 18 month period is calculated from the traffic citation/violation date, not driver safety class attendance date.
